This is Bitparty 2016 LAN Party
Bitparty '16 is a LAN party organized yearly and hosted in Rovaniemi by the information and communication technology students of Lapland University of Applied Sciences. This gaming event is mainly directed at the youth.
We host tournaments for popular games like Counter-Strike: Global Office, Super Smash Bros., League of Legends and more. In this event we also run game servers for other popular titles and we host many different kinds of activities in the venue.
In the past years we have gathered more and more attendants. This year we are expecting around 200 attendants and also many visitors who can participate in console-tournaments. All the 160 last year's spots were sold out in a few hours. We are also streaming the whole event in a streaming service.
Who is it for?
The age requirement for participants is 16 years old or older. 15-year-olds are allowed with the signed consent of their guardian. Age is verified on entry.
The event is directed at those who are interested in online games and computers.
When and where?
The event is being held at the Rantavitikka Campus of Lapland University of Applied Sciences (Jokiväylä 11, the lobby of the B building). The premises include floor accommodation. The event begins on Friday 19.2.2016 and ends on Sunday 21.2.2016. Visitor fee is 5€. One tournament participation is included in that price. Additional tournament entries cost 3€ per tournament.
